Hands On Fire

 AIM - 

I want to SAFELY light my hands on fire

Before we do this activity safely  we need to be aware of the safety features.

Activity - In pairs you need to come up with a list of 5 items that need to be considered when doing this experiment

1. Safety glasses

2. Fire extinguisher

3. Long Hair tied up 

4.  Don't do any eating or drinking   

5. Take off any jewellery 

Instructions 

1. Collect your equipment.

2. Put Some Water into the tray.  

3. Squirt some  detergent into the water. 

4. Put on your safety glasses.

5. Tie up long hair. 

6. Take off any Jewellery.  

7. wet your hands wrists and arms.

8. Bubble the glass into the water. 

9. scoop the bubbles but not the water. 

10. Hold the bubbles in front of your face with your arms locked.

I felt nervous and scared and I saw flames on my hands! - and other people hands some flames were big and some flames were smaller i smelled the gas that was being put in the bubbles and I heard that flames when they started and the lighter being lit when I smelled my hands afterwards they smelled burnt but they were fine and with the fire my hands smelled a little hot

Work:

The Changing States Of matter

 To change the states of water from solid to liquid to gas 

Hypothesis - I think that the ice will melt quickly to liquid and then it wont take that long to heat up and then get steam 

Equipment - 

1. Beaker 

2. Ice 

3. Thermometer 

4. Bunsen Burner 

Method - 

1. Ice is placed in the beaker on the bench Record Its Temperature

2. Once the ice is thawed. The Bunsen Burner With the tripod gauze mat  heatproof and beaker 

3.  The Bunsen Burner is lit 

4. The thermometer is placed in the beaker of water 

5. The findings are Recorded on the Chart 

Benjamin Franklin

 Benjamin Franklin was an inventor who invented many amazing things 

For Example: in the morning everyone had the paper to read thanks to Benjamin Franklin who invented the printing press so people could read the paper and get books printed up. Today you can go to the library to take some books out to read, this is another one of Benjamin Franklin's countless inventions. If you are losing your eyesight you go get them checked and get glasses. Without Benjamin Franklin people like my mum wouldn't be able to see today. Benjamin Franklin was the first person to conduct a test on electricity and discover it so without him we wouldn't have Electricity today. Benjamin Franklin also invented the swim fins to make swimming easier. He invented the Franklin stove to make better food and cook some things better. He invented the Armonica, an instrument that can play music.

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston and he lived in Boston Paris and Philadelphia and invented things in those few places

Following The Beat

 What I have learnt in following in following the beat is some new types of music that I didn't  know and listening to the different types of music to know what they sound like and I learnt about looping you can find music in the supermarket on you tube in the mall and lots of other shops in the car radio types of music are jazz country rock steam punk hip hop rap classical Arcapella some instruments are tuba flute violin drums guitar base guitar electric guitar piano maracas and heaps others see if you can name some can you?   what I want to learn in following the beat is singing and types of singing and high notes and nothing else really much so
